Aya Kimura

Nori Tarui


Nori Tarui is a Professor of Economics and a Research Fellow in the University of Hawaiʻi Economic Research Organization (UHERO). He also serves as a Co-Director of  Renewable Energy and Island Sustainability (REIS) Graduate Certificate Program. 
He has an MA in Economics (Keio) and a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Applied Economics (Minnesota). His research fields are environmental, energy, and resource economics. His research interest is in electric utility regulation, energy policy, and assessing strategies for climate change mitigation and adaptation. He is a recipient of the Outstanding Publications Award from the Society for Environmental Economics and Policy Studies (SEEPS) in 2021. Nori Tarui is also the Senior Advisor to the Dean on Global College Initiatives in the College of Social Sciences.
